Once you have placed items together in a maker to create a blinkie you will need to animate it. Don't have an animation program no problem this tutorial will show you how to use freeware, that is free software, to animate.
You will need: MS Paint to save frames for your blinkies. Most computers come with this program so you most likely have it installed already.

Once you have these programs installed follow the steps to create your animation.
1) On the page where you made your blinkie press the Print Scrn key located next to F12. If you are using a laptop you will need to hold down the Fn key while pressing PrtSc usually located next to the delete button. make the first letter in your blinkie the color you want. Now save that file as "yourfile1".bmp.7) Select Edit >> Undo or Ctrl + Z to undo coloring the first letter, now fill the second letter with your color and save as "yourfile2".bmp
